He’s the author of two other Cade Dawkins thrillers, Killer Blonde and Killer Smile, along with several young adult and middle-grade novels—including Abnormally Abbey, Class Clown, and Spook Squad, which have earned him a wonderfully surprising number of young readers who think he’s cooler than he probably is. Allan’s diverse professional background—encompassing undercover investigator, bodyguard, advertising creative, and more—provides the raw material behind the realism and edge of his crime fiction. When he isn’t writing, he’s coaching middle-school soccer or diving into research that inevitably finds its way into his books. He lives in Minnesota, where winter is cold, crime is complicated, and stories are never in short supply.
